Magnolia

«I took these pictures six months ago, at the time I was quite intrigued with Chinese artist Ren Hang, and how he mixed nudes with different elements. I was especially taken by his works from out in nature at night. I wanted to do the same, only with my own vision, so a friend and I snook into a garden at night and took pictures. The reason why the series is called Magnolia is that I went by a flower shop the other day and they had some beautiful branches on the outside, so I asked the owner what kind they were, and she said they were from a Magnolia tree. As I looked at the pictures I noticed that the tree in the pictures were a Magnolia tree, so the name just fell into place.»
